Genelva Krind made her debut in the Dutch feature film THE PRICE OF SUGAR which was the opening film at the Dutch Film Festival 2013. This movie about slavery has also been adapted for television as a four part miniseries which had over a million views per episode.

In 2018 she graduated from one of Europe’s finest theatre academies, Theatre Academy Maastricht in The Netherlands. During her studies she starred in the celebrated short film NIGHT. NIGHT won the HUFFINGTON POST IMPACT award and BEST ACTING at the Trinity Film Festival.

Genelva has always been fascinated by history and psychology. She is aware of the effect movies have on an audience. This influences the roles she decides to play and the stories she decides to tell.

Apart from TV and film she worked on stage at THE NATIONAL THEATRE in The Netherlands. For her roles in THE REUNIFICATION OF THE TWO KOREA’S a critic claimed her to be a dazzling new talent.

Genelva was raised in Suriname, South-America. She is a native Dutch speaker, fluent Surinamese language and fluent in American English. 

She just wrapped on the Dutch mini-series called THUISFRONT for BNNVARA, directed by Tim Oliehoek.
